Ferm Living

We love ferm LIVING. Plain and simple. Just like their designs, drawing on Scandinavian design traditions with a retro sensibility. Founded by Trine Andersen in 2005, the graphic design influence is unmistakable in the timeless designs of ferm LIVING. Her decision to launch the business was rooted in a personal vision of a bird on a branch, ready to take off. This vision mainifests itself in the ferm logo to this day.

 

The studio soon expanded into design and interior products and her first wallpaper collection was launched in 2006 to worldwide acclaim. The studio has designed products for every room in the house and hence the strong presence of the house motif in their designs but at MOOD - mini objects of desire it is the ferm LIVING children's Collection that we have embraced. The collection is a delight including ferm LIVING children's Bedding, children's wallpaper, cushions, wallstickers and textiles. At MOOD, we have curated our own favourites from the ferm LIVING children's collection.

 

The name "ferm" was inspired by Trine's grandmother when she said that you were "ferm pa fingrene" which simply translated means "good with their fingers" i.e. skilled with their hands. It was the craftsmenship that influenced the detailing of all the ferm products.
